Mayumi Case, Head Instructor

Mayumi Case grew up in Japan, but did not start her aikido training in her native country. Her first introduction to aikido was through a course offered at Scottsdale Community College in Scottsdale, Arizona, in 1995. She subsequently joined the Arizona Aikido Ki Society and continued training under Kirk Fowler sensei, 7th Dan. Case sensei holds the Ki-Aikido rank of Yondan, Ki-development rank of Chuden, is an Associate Lecturer, and is an
Authorized Assistant Examiner of Shinshin Toitsu Aikido.

He returned to Japan two years later for an internship with Nissan Motors as part of his MBA in International Business. After completing his MBA in 2001, he moved to Minnesota to work for Honeywell in Human Resources and joined the Minnesota Ki Society.
