Jonathan Poppele

Jonathan Poppele has studied Ki-Aikido since 1994, and is the founder of the Center for Mind-Body Oneness. He became a student of Shaner sensei in 2004 and under Shaner sensei’s guidance earned two gold medals in the 2004 International Ki Aikido Exhibition, together with his taigi partner, Matt Doetsch-Kidder. Poppele sensei holds a Masters Degree in Conservation Biology and Conflict Management and has taught writing and environmental studies at the University level. He is the founder of the Minnesota Wildlife Tracking Project and the author of several award-winning nature guidebooks.  Poppele sensei is an Assistant Ki Lecturer and Assistant Examiner and holds the rank of Sandan (3rd Degree Blackbelt) in Shinshin Toitsu Aikido and Chuden in Shinshin Toitsu Do (Ki Development).

The Center for Mind-Body Oneness is located in the Vandalia Towers at 550 Vandalia in Saint Paul, half a block north of I-94. We are located in Studio 203.
